I have known Wendy Carrera for 8 years and have seen firsthand how she respects educators as she always supported me in and out of the classroom. She truly cares about all students and wants to see each child succeed. I am supporting Wendy Carrera because I believe she has the ability to find solutions to the educational issues facing East Whittier City School District. I know she will look at the science and make good decisions regarding the reopening of our schools. She wants all EWCSD children to have a bright future. I believe Wendy is the one who will have a significant impact on our school board as she seeks to bring new ideas to our district.

Wendy Carrera would be an amazing candidate on the EWCSD BOARD MEMBER 2020! As a student of hers, I have gain confidence, growth, and knowledge of my own practice. As a person, I learned that no matter where I come from, what has happen in my past, or how hard life gets, I have to go through all it’s obstacles in order to be the person I plan on being. In 2017, I went through a huge depression and everything around me (school, work, family) was not going as planned. Carrera noticed and pulled me to the side and was able to hear me out. She gave me great advice, motivation to keep on going; even though I didn’t see that light at the end of the tunnel. She pushed me to graduate with my AA and surprised me with my tassel, since she knew I was unable to attend my graduation due to a lost in the family. Carrera is a strong, well educated, leader who will definitely get the job done! She puts her students first and goes beyond measure for those in need. She stays humble and generous but also the type to tell you when your wrong or how to make something better. She a daughter, a wife, a mother, an educator and a friend. Her heart and soul are in it for the good and EWCSD BOARD MEMBER would be honored to have a candidate like Wendy Carrera.
